Alfred Foglio

Founder / Managing Partner

Alfred has over 25 years of experience investing private equity and real estate.

He has been involved with all aspects of the creation, growth, restructuring, scaling and exiting of businesses as an investor, Chairman and public company non-executive director.

He was a Managing Partner with GI Partners since its founding in 2001 through 2019, lead GI Partners’ European Health & Social Care sector focus during this period and was also responsible for numerous other real estate and private equity investments in Europe. Alfred sat on the global investment committee of GI Partners Fund II and Fund III which were collectively responsible for deploying $3.9BN into 39 investments in the US, UK and Europe.

From 2014-2017, Alfred also served on the Investment Board for the Children’s Services Innovation Programme (CSIP) that was set up by The Department for Education (DfE) to act as a catalyst for developing more effective ways of supporting vulnerable children. The Board was responsible for approving all bids in advance of Ministerial formal approval. CSIP funded c.£200mn into c.80 projects in three Waves.

Prior to joining GI Partners, he spent four years with the Principals Transactions Group of CSFB investing in U.K. and European asset-backed private equity and real estate transactions. Alfred began his career in the New York Structured Finance Group of Arthur Andersen advising on securitization and leverage buyout transactions.
